my photography is playful, capturing kids and families in the moment, and in their element. photographing outdoors in a familiar environment — on your front porch, backyard, or favorite neighborhood park— puts kids at ease and allows them to be themselves. as mother of two young children, i’m tuned into kid-think, and come to every photo shoot ready to engage kids in conversation, songs, or games. encouraging them to be silly, proud, messy, loud, funny, fast, or wide-eyed translates to images that portray a million details about life stages and personalities.

ready working with clients individually, i take the time to personally tailor each portrait session by discussing ideas, possible locations, and any necessary details in advance.

i’m happy to advise you on what to wear but really recommend just being yourself and encouraging your kids to do the same. i draw on years of experience to create a relaxed and comfortable environment in both outdoor and indoor settings. my photo sessions are meant to be fun!

set i work with available light as much as possible to create the highest quality images and keep things loose and natural. sessions take anywhere from 60 min. to 2 hours, with a leisurely pace that lets kids be themselves. stopping for a snack or a breather is all a part of the process. authentic portraits are my goal.
